Ta da!! How beautiful is that golden crust?? The secret is to whisk heavy cream and eggs together to make your egg wash. Based on the awesome caramel-y color, my guess is that the sugar in the cream does in fact, caramelize.
Oh, and we also a made a pumpkin pie :P

Ali McMurtrie - This website is my attempt to "get the art out of my head." I started this blog a few years ago when I turned twenty-five, and it began as a place for me to post about cheese, pottery and other things I thought were interesting over the course of that year.
